MPO Fiber Patch Cord Cable For High Density Data Cabling

MPO/MTP Patch Cord: High-Density Fiber Optic Connectivity

MPO/MTP Patch Cord

MPO/MTP patch cords are fiber optic cables utilizing Multi-Fiber Push On connectors. Their compact design allows for higher fiber density and smaller size, making them ideal for applications requiring high-density integrated optical fiber lines.

Description

An MPO fiber optic patch cord is a fiber patch cord terminated with MPO (Multi-fiber Push On) connectors. These connectors, combined with fiber optic cable, can be configured in various ways. MPO jumpers can be designed with 2 to 12 cores, and even up to 24 cores, although the 12-core configuration is currently the most common. The compact design of the MPO connector enables higher core counts in a smaller footprint.

Applications

MPO/MTP patch cords are widely used in:

  • High-density integrated optical fiber lines
  • FTTX and 40/100GSFP, SFP+ and other transceiver modules
  • Internal and external connection of equipment
