Hone GCXFY Microduct Fiber Unitube Air Blowing Micro Cable
This microduct fiber cable is a unitube non-metallic cable designed for installation in existing microducts via pulling or air blowing, improving pipeline efficiency.
Description
Hone GCXFY is a central unitube microduct fiber air-blown cable. Optical fibers are placed within a high modulus loose tube, which is filled with a tube filling compound for fiber protection. A layer of aramid yarn surrounds the unitube to provide strength.
Air-blown micro fiber cable allows ducts to be accessed for distribution at any point and time without affecting other cables in the same duct. This results in significant cost savings for construction and splicing.
This cable is typically used in air-blowing installations within access networks.
Application
This cable is suitable for FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) networks, metropolitan area networks, and backbone networks.
Features
- Connects distribution branches and end-user access points.
- Easy cable replacement via air blowing.
- Small diameter and light weight provide good air-blowing performance.
- Cost savings in construction and splicing equipment.
- Phased deployment via air blowing reduces initial investment.
- Tube filling compound and aramid yarn provide excellent protection for optical fibers.
