Hone OPGW (Optical Fiber Composite Overhead Ground Wire) Cable
OPGW (Optical Fiber Composite Overhead Ground Wire) cable combines the functions of a ground wire and optical communication, integrating the fiber unit within a high-voltage overhead transmission line ground wire.
Description
Hone OPGW cable is a composite structure acting as both an overhead ground wire and a fiber optic communication link, creating a fiber communication network on the power transmission line. It is suitable for new designs or replacement of existing ground wires.
Due to its resistance to electromagnetic interference and light weight, optical fibers can be installed at the top of transmission line towers without concerns about optimal hanging position or electromagnetic corrosion.
Application
OPGW cables are used on transmission power lines.
Features
- Metal conductor wrapped OPGW cable offers increased reliability and stability.
- Aluminum clad or aluminum alloy wire provides superior mechanical properties.
- Combined overhead ground wire and optical cable reduces installation costs.
- Suitable for new installations or upgrades of existing ground wires.
