Armored Fiber Optic Cable Stranded Loose Tube Light Armored Cable

Hone GYTS Armored Fiber Optic Cable

Hone GYTS Armored Fiber Optic Cable

The Hone GYTS outdoor stranded loose tube light armored fiber optic cable is designed for aerial and duct installations. Its robust construction, featuring stranded loose tubes, PSP steel tape, and a central strength member, makes it suitable for backbone networks, metropolitan area networks, and FTTH feeder applications.

Description

Hone GYTS armored fiber optic cable consists of 250μm fibers housed within high modulus plastic loose tubes, which are filled with a water-resistant compound. These loose tubes and fillers are stranded around a central strength member, forming a compact and circular cable core. In some cases, for higher fiber counts, the central strength member is also sheathed with polyethylene (PE). A layer of double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) longitudinally covers the loose tubes, with filling compound in between for water ingress protection. The cable is then completed with a PE outer sheath.

Applications

This cable is suitable for:

  • Aerial and duct installations
  • Core networks
  • Metropolitan area networks
  • Access networks
  • FTTH feeder deployments

Features

  • Good mechanical and temperature performance
  • Hydrolysis-resistant high-strength loose tubes
  • Special tube filling compound for fiber protection
  • Crush resistance and flexibility
  • UV-resistant PE sheath
  • Watertight design ensured by the central strength member, loose tube filling compound, and PSP
