GYTS Light Armored Fiber Optic Cable: Reliable Backbone Connectivity
The GYTS light armored fiber optic cable offers a robust and dependable solution for outdoor aerial and duct deployments. Its light armored construction, featuring stranded loose tubes and a PSP steel tape, provides excellent protection against environmental factors and physical stress. This cable is ideal for backbone networks, metropolitan area networks, and FTTH feeder applications, ensuring high-bandwidth connectivity and long-term reliability.
Description
Hone GYTS outdoor stranded loose tube light armored fiber optic cable utilizes 250μm fibers housed within high modulus plastic loose tubes, filled with a water-resistant compound. These tubes, along with fillers, are stranded around a central strength member, forming a compact and circular cable core. In higher fiber count cables, the central strength member may also be sheathed with polyethylene (PE). A double-sided plastic coated steel tape (PSP) longitudinally covers the loose tubes, with filling compound between the tubes and the steel tape for water ingress protection. The cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.
Application
GYTS cable is designed for aerial and duct installation in:
- Core networks
- Metropolitan area networks
- Access networks
- FTTH feeder
Features
- Good mechanical and temperature performance
- High strength loose tube, hydrolysis resistant
- Special tube filling compound for critical fiber protection
- Crush resistance and flexibility
- PE sheath for UV radiation protection
