Steel Wire Steel Tape Double Armored Fiber Optic Cable

Hone Double Armored Fiber Optic Cable

Hone Double Armored Fiber Optic Cable

This double armored fiber optic cable features a stranded loose tube design with corrugated steel tape, an inner PE sheath, steel wire armoring, and an outer PE sheath.

Overview

Hone’s double armored fiber optic cable offers exceptional crush resistance due to its robust construction. The steel wire armoring enhances tensile strength. The cable’s multiple layers, including corrugated steel tape, steel wire, double sheathing, and water-blocking compound, make it suitable for challenging environments, including undersea communication.

Description

This cable is double armored with corrugated steel tape and steel wire, providing excellent crush resistance and tensile strength. The double PE sheath ensures moisture resistance, and the water-blocking compound protects the fibers. This construction makes it suitable for underwater and direct buried installations.

Application

This cable is suitable for:

  • Long-distance communication
  • Inter-office communication
  • Harsh environments, such as steep slopes and river crossings
  • Undersea communication

Features

  • Double armored with corrugated steel tape and steel wire
  • Steel wire armoring (SWA) for improved tensile and impact resistance
  • Double PE sheath for excellent moisture resistance
  • Corrugated steel tape surrounding the stranded loose tube unit
  • Water-blocking filling compound in loose tubes
  • APL moisture barrier
